FORGET ME NOT

Studying my features in the mirror,
I do not recall me, not one glimmer.
A stray cat and I look at each other.
Will that cat KNOW me [next time], I wonder.
The huge World War Two Plane flies in the sky;
to reminisce, Flying Fortress, oh my.
Perched on the branch near the narrow window,
the mad Blue Jay yelled, “Recollect Gringo!”
When a memory flutters through my mind,
am I the only one teased by this wind?
