rabbiting (British slang – talking)

a large rabbit crouched
concealed by the long grass
he’s nibbling on,

a smaller rabbit hopping
up the nearby driveway.

——

like a frog sitting
on a soft lily pad
a brown rabbit sits

disappearing (green plants)
his long ears twitching (listen)

a rabbit stretches
his belly against the ground
then, he jumps up

a ball of tan fur, once more
motionless, once more.
